Owner Tiffany Samuels is a very busy woman. “I am currently working on my Juris Doctor to become an attorney, and I also own a detailing company,” she shares with us. She does all of this in addition to running her RV rental business on Outdoorsy!
Initially, Tiffany didn’t plan to start a rental business. “My family and I wanted a trailer so we could go out and travel and make fun memories,” she explains. “We love to travel and spend family time together. We have had so many great camping experiences and have had a blast in the mountains of Arizona. Unfortunately, between law school, running our detailing business, and two kids in school and sports, we don’t have as much time to enjoy the trailer as we would like. Rather than just letting it sit, we decided to rent it out for others to enjoy!”
So, Tiffany jumped in. “I heard that Outdoorsy was a great rental site, so I decided to go for it,” she says. “Within a week of posting my trailer I received my first two bookings. I have been renting my trailer since November 2020 here and there, but [more] seriously since January 2021 and I have made around $18,000 give or take.”
Obviously, Tiffany has had some awesome success. Recently, she went in with a friend to purchase a second trailer to try to meet the demand, and she plans to buy another of her own in the near future.
Tiffany’s secret to success? “Honestly, I believe it is my enjoyment of working with my renters,” she shares. “I try to be accommodating from start to finish, as a lot of my renters are first-time campers or aren’t too sure about what to do, and I want them to have the best experience possible! So, I offer my trailer as a worry-free rental. My trailer has everything my renters need, with the exception of food and personal items. I even offer grocery delivery so they can literally arrive and just enjoy themselves!”
This might all sound like a lot of work, but Tiffany loves helping her renters have a great time. In fact, the steady stream of excellent renters is why she keeps renting.
“I have gotten so lucky with all my renters,” Tiffany gushes. She then shared a favorite rental experience: “One renter was disabled and she was told she would be paralyzed completely from an accident. This amazing woman fought through all that. She rented with me and I put her in contact with a friend who rents Waverunners. She got on the Waverunner and it was such a huge moment for her! She was able to camp and have a blast doing things she was told were a thing of the past. When she shared this all with me, I was so excited to be a part of this memory for her.

Favorite morning beverage: “Coffee or Redbull. Give mama ALL the caffeine!”
Favorite campsite meal: “Carne asada tacos and street corn.”
Music you like to play on the radio: “My playlist is the most eclectic assortment! It ranges from Blondie and Blue Oyster Cult to Megan Thee Stallion and Young Dolph to AFI and DWP (all wild haha).”
Best game to play on the road or at your campsite: “Cornhole for sure!”
Favorite season: “Where I live it gets to be 129°F in the hottest part of the summer sometimes. Honestly, I pretty much love any season where I won’t melt the second I open my door.”
Last photo you took: “My last picture was taken in Las Vegas on a girls trip with some of my friends. But you know what they say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!”
If you could travel anywhere in an RV, where would you go? “I would travel up the Pacific coast. From the very bottom to the very top. I want my kids to have all the best memories of seeing how beautiful our country is!”
