There’s another route which is the Interstate-40 E. It is lengthier but takes around the same time because of better driving conditions.
The Pine Mountain RV Park isn’t far away from central Pigeon Forge. A few minutes’ drive from the resort town will take you to the park, which is located closer to the mountain.
The entrance has a beautiful design with ample space for parking and check-ins. As you drive through the paved roads, you’ll find a park-like setting with a lot of trees and a well-maintained landscape.
There are 60 RV sites within the park, all of which are concrete and fairly leveled. All of them are full hook-ups but vary by pull-in and pull-through parking methods. The RV sites are quite spacious, but the maximum allowed length for the rigs is 60 feet.

Full Hook-up RV Sites
There are 60 RV sites in Pine Mountain RV Park, and all of them are full hook-up sites. At each site, you have 30/50-amps power, water, sewer, and cable TV. Along with that, you can request picnic tables and fire rings.
There are both back-in and pull-through RV sites. The back-in sites measure 30-50 feet in length, while pull-through sites are 30-45 feet.
The RV park also has premium sites located along the creek, which can accommodate rigs up to 60 feet long. Concrete leveled sites ensure all-season camping. The sites are spacious, with ample space in between.
With greenery and cleanliness all around, you’d love every minute of camping at these sites.
Cabin Rentals
The RV park has two camping cabins for campers who prefer a cozier accommodation option. Inside each cabin, you’d find two bedrooms, one private bathroom, a full-fledged kitchen and dining space, flat-screen TV, and a sitting area with couches.

Dump Station
The RV park has an on-site dump station to maintain cleanliness. You can empty your black and gray tanks by connecting them to the sewer. There’s also a tank riser to help you clean the tanks after emptying.
The dump station is free to use for all campers within the park. But extra vehicles or outsiders will be charged for each use.
Laundry

Hike at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park maintained by the NPS has 800 miles of hiking trails. Along the way, you’ll uncover hundreds of years of old trees, breathtaking streams, waterfalls, and awe-inspiring flowering plants. Wander at Little Pigeon River
Very few people are aware of this small waterway that flows alongside the Smokies in Sevier County. It’s a bird watching paradise with a large number of bird species inhabiting the trees.
The two-mile-long trail, the Riverwalk Greenway, will lead you through picturesque spots. It travels alongside the river, and you can spot a few animal species quenching their thirst on the banks.

The Caverns are located beneath the Smoky Mountains but on a different side. You’d have to travel 20 miles from the RV park to reach this place.
After arriving at the Forbidden Caverns, you’ll witness everything from underground streams to stalagmites. Some of the areas inside the cave have been decked and equipped with light and stereo sound.
Another interesting fact is that the inside temperature of the Forbidden Caverns is always at 60° F. You can stay cool and escape the heat waves during the summer months.

Up the Creek RV Camp
The Up the Creek RV Camp is bordered by two creeks (Walden and Cove) that are crystal clear and stocked with fish. With lots of shade trees, you’ll love staying at this campground. It’s five miles from Pine Mountain RV Park.
Each RV site has a large concrete patio along with water and sewer hook-ups. Along with that, you have cable TV, Wi-Fi, and a fire-ring. Each site is unique with respect to amenities and location.
The rates start from $53 per night for a full hook-up classic site. The price for deluxe sites with a fireplace is set at $70 per night. The cost goes up during the fall season when more campers come into the area.
Creekside RV Park
This park is located along Walden Creek and close to everything East Tennessee has to offer.
The family-owned park has full hook-up sites with power, sewer, and cable hook hook-ups. These can accommodate rigs up to 60-feet in length. Inside the park, you’ll find a swimming pool, self-service laundry, camp store, and private picnic area.
The standard RV sites at the Creekside Park cost $54 per night. Sites located along Walden Creek will cost $56 per night.
From the Creekside RV Park, you’ll have easier access to the Great Smoky Mountain, Dollywood, and other thrilling sites.
Twin Creek RV Resort
As opposed to other parks, the Twin Creek RV Resort is located in Gatlinburg, just outside the Great Smoky Mountains. This is the closest you can get to the Smokies.
Twin Creek has full hook-up sites, which are paved and have a cement patio with bench seating. The sites are big enough to accommodate 45-foot motorhomes and fifth trailers.
Since it is an RV resort, you can expect a swimming pool and a mini pool for kids. On top of that, it has a jacuzzi, boutique, and restrooms.
The rates are slightly higher and start from $88 per night.
