Great experience with this truck camper. It ran well with no issues. Basil had fast communication throughout the whole trip and answered any questions I had before the trip. He was able to work with us on our pick up time since we were flying in from out of state. He even went out of his way to pick us up at the location we were at when we started. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend basil and his truck camper to anyone who wants to explore California and beyond!

Basil was super easy to work with, and the vehicle was everything promised and more. I (absolutely) would rent from him again and would love to take the rig on another road trip. We went Utah through several national & state parks and zero issues.

We had a wonderful trip with the 80s Landcruiser. The rig is complete, confortable and great to travel with. We were with our two young kids and they loved sleeping in the roof tent. We really recommend it ! The owner is great too !

We had the best time on our road trip in the Land Cruiser! The car had everything we needed, and the rooftop tent was great for camping and easy to set up. The perfect way to explore the California national parks and coast!

Where do I even begin!I’m honestly not sure how to start a review that accurately describes how incredible this Land Cruiser and its host Basil actually are.
From before we even booked, Basil was already answering questions for us about the vehicle and our trip, and taking the time to make sure we had everything we needed for our journey. Handover was super easy and he took a lot of care to make sure we understood all the ins and outs of the car and the upgrades we were bringing as well.Once we were on the road (for just over 3 weeks touring the National parks), the cruiser was legendary, to say the least. It ran like a gem and never caused us any issues, whether we were cruising on the highways or off-roading in search of some epic spots to explore or camp, the cruiser was always reliable and it made us feel super safe and comfortable knowing it could tackle any situation we got into.
It definitely has the bonus of looking like (and being) a classic as well and we got compliments nearly everywhere we travelled from lots of friendly folks. It really does look a beauty in all the photographs we took over our holiday.For the upgrades, I would personally recommend adding as many of them as you can, as they add so much comfort and usability to the cruiser. The roof camper, fridge and camp kitchen all paid for themselves ten times over and I’m beyond glad we had them for our journey. The roof camper gave us total freedom to camp wherever we wanted and really delivered a spacious and comfortable sleep regardless of being in the desert or the mountains. The fridge ensured we always had fresh food available to cook with and snack on, as well as always providing us with an ice-cold beer after a long day on the road or hiking trails. The camp kitchen enabled us so much luxury whether it was brewing a simple coffee on a cold morning or cooking up a full meal for a big dinner. These are definitely additions you should not go without!

Very cool 80 series Land Cruiser. Excellent communication with the owner from the moment I enquired to when we dropped it back off. They made it very convenient to pick up/return. This is an eye catcher. Keep in mind what you're getting - a very cool 20 year old over landing classic Land Cruiser. Meaning it rides like it but if you're looking to get this you are familiar with what it is. Perfect for our surf trip. The Dometic fridge was perfect for all our food and drinks for the day. Very clean interior. 80 series have a lot of storage in the rear, especially with the 3rd row seats removed like this. Slee front and rear bumpers. Winch. Lights. Frontrunner roof rack. Perfect adventure rig or just something to look cool in.
