Welcome to Lost Winds Vans! Established in 2022, after a long few years for us all, we realized our dream of traveling more with our family was worth it! We rented a few times on Outdoorsy and loved how easy it was, so we decided to dive in, purchased a beauty of a Sportsmobile, and hit the road! We chose this business because we love people and adventure with a slice of comfort! We are friendly, efficient, and most importantly, affordable. The name "Lost Winds" or Lasuens shares the name one of our favorite local beaches in our hometown of San Clemente. We know all sorts of sneaky spots in California if you'd like any ideas. Beth is obsessed with helping others plan a rad trip. We hope you love the van and look forward to meeting you and serving you best! Lets Get Lost! ~Beth & Pete

Had an unforgettable Labor Day weekend with the van taking it from San Clemente to Mammoth Lakes. The van has everything you need to bring the comforts of home camping, is great on gas (diesel), and the hosts Beth & Pete are second to none as they are super easy to work with. Would definitely recommend renting this van for a weekend getaway with the family/dogs as we had a blast and look forward for our next adventure with Lost Winds!

The Transit was an impressive, smooth ride with all the critical features for a great road trip. The sofa/table area that turned into a queen bed easily fit two adults and a small child. The hosts were always available by text or phone to help with any issues. Great customer service, and we will definitely rent again.

Hello! This booking was reserved just 1 day before departure so I cancelled that same day it was reserved. Thanks for considering a trip with us. I don’t know how this booking was originally allowed as we already had a renter on their way and the van was booked through Sunday evening. I’m again so sorry for the confusion and that we weren’t able to accommodate your family.

We had an amazing trip in the Lost Winds van up to Big Sur! Beth and Pete were easy to communicate with and helpful if any issues arose. When we encountered some bad weather on our way back, they generously allowed us to extend our van rental for an extra day to ensure our safety. Our toddler had a blast playing with his toy trucks in the spacious back of the van. Beth and Pete provided everything one might need for camping, making the process of packing for the trip simple and easy. This experience was truly wonderful and we look forward to another adventure with Lost Winds.

Bethany and Peter were great. Peter was handling all question for the RV operations and Bethany was very responsive leading up to the rental. They have a very functional bike rack for our "Analog" bikes. We drove up to Mammoth Lakes, CA for 8 nights. We met our friends up there and cycled around Mammoth Lakes.
The Lost Winds RV worked great and like the simplicity.

Fantastic experience renting from Beth and Pete! They have easy to follow instructional videos showing how to operate everything in their van. Great communication all around, would highly recommend renting from them!

We had a fabulous trip to Buellton, CA. The lost winds van is set up so nicely and had everything we needed to enjoy our trip. I love how open the van is and the drivability of this van is fantastic. Beth is super easy to work with and very responsive if you need anything. The videos they provide are so helpful and were super easy to follow. We will definitely rent this van in the future.
