My name is Daphne. I'm a mother of 2 very loving boys. During COVID, we took our first RV trip. We drove somewhere local; Malibu. It was so beautiful and relaxing. We fell in love with the sounds of the waves, the sunset, and the campfire. It felt like home away from home. Shortly after, we took our next trip and we are now hooked! I read an article one day. It was about a nurse who worked in ICU. She was still going to school and had to do a research paper. As part of her research, she decided to interview some of her patients. Mind you, her patients are in ICU and most of them are on their last straw. She asked them, "What do you wish to have done more of or differently?" They answered..."created more memories with my loved ones." Many times, we may get stuck in our day to day lives working, going to school, attending meetings...we forget about the ones we love most. The RV safely got us to a from, which I was very grateful for. However, the meters from the tanks did not work, but your expected to know how much is in each tank and to dispose of. Furthermore, it appears that maybe the generator meter work either. The host claims we used 82 hrs of use from the generator when we didn’t have a need for it. We didn’t use any appliances, absolutely none. No stove, no microwave, no refrigerator, no A/C, no tvs, nothing. We couldn’t even get the a\c in the back on during driving. As first time users I do not recommend this rental because there are no clear instructions, just tips and the host calls them. There was absolutely no label on the generators button to have known it was the on button, and the loud sound of a generator was never once heard, so be very careful or you may get charged $500 without notice. In addition, the host claims that she advised of a $500 charge is generator used, which is absolutely untrue. I reviewed absolutely all messages, emails, and posting and there was no notice of $500 charge.
We adhered to all written agreements, including cleaning fees (we returned the RV clean), gas usage (we returned it with a full tank), mileage (we stayed within the allowed limits), tank disposal (we cleaned out the tank), and battery usage (we did not drain it). However, there was no written communication regarding charges for either propane or generator. Given the circumstances, the charges for both generator use and propane are not supported by the rental agreement or any communicated terms, yet I was charged. Throughout the rental period, we ensured the RV was returned in outstanding condition and made every effort to avoid any charges or damage, yet we were still charged an additional $520 and after I submitted a dispute the host said that I was the one stealing.

Peggy, the review you leave me, leaves me in disbelief. You, yourself came back and said what a beautiful RV I have and how much you enjoyed your trip. As for the sensors (I believe that is what you are referring to because the RV doesn’t have any meters), sensors go bad all of the time. It is very common. Feel free to Google it. How do you check if the tanks are clean, you asked…very simple, look inside the toilet. I mentioned this to you as well. In regards to the generator, the use of the generator is not included with this RV. The site states it, I texted you, and I let you know in person. There is a very hefty fee for using the generator. I agree. The reason for that is because I don’t want it to be used and damaged. The expense is too great to risk. You told me you would have hookups. Yet, you didn’t. The appliances work very well and that’s why you don’t see any complaints on here about that. This is a fairly new RV with only 20k miles on it. The RV is in excellent condition. I believe you are upset because of the charge and I’m sorry but you shouldn’t have used the generator. You thought you could get away with it not knowing the generator hours are calculated and photos were taken before and after your rental. I had proof via video and photos. Thus, why you lost your appeal. Now, you want me to lose business because you did wrong. I’m sorry but I stand by what I have said. I will never rent to you again. I don’t appreciate being lied to and utilizing the generator when you knew not to use it.

We were very satisfied with the RV. It fit my family of 5 really well. Things were a bit tight, but with all the storage inside we were able to keep things secure and out of the way. With it being so hot, we definitely made use of the AC. We didn’t run into any issues using any of the amenities. The back up camera made parking in our camping spot relatively easy. Daphne made the pickup and drop off process quick and painless. She also was great about accommodating us and our need to adjust the drop off time. Would rent from her again.

Our rv was in wonderful working order and Daphne, the owner was extremely communicative on all issues. We are previous owners of an rv but that was over 30 years ago, she was very kind in answering all our questions.

We picked up the RV without knowing that it had full tank of black water. After utilizing the toilet on our trip, it got fludded and the trip smelled like poop the entire time. We had to mop the toilet/black water 3 times during the trip when this was not an issue we created.
So we are not paying for the dump fee, that’s ridiculous.
About the damages, that was an accident and quiet frankly it was scary. Our insurance should cover for the damages, accidents do happen. Glass driver window popped all over us and cut me(driver)
I accept the mileage overage and apologies for the miscalculation on our end, we are ready to pay for it.
Smoking never happened inside the RV, the smell was coming from the toilet, so thats ridiculous.
Cleaning fee sounds standard so its fine.
Late fee should also be covered under insurance, or normal human decency as this terrible incident put us in real shock, scared us to death so it was highly difficult to drive it all the way back. We really wanted to get it towed.

What an amazing road trip my family and I took in our rented RV. Our family trip to Utah was more than an adventure, it was a memorable journey! We loved driving the Thor Four Winds and it safely handled the highways from CA, NV to UT and back. Additionally, Daphne helped and was part of our planning process for this trip (before, during and after). She was wonderful! I'm grateful to have rented an RV through Outdoorsy.

The RV was amazing, it ran perfectly and all the important features were operational such as generator, AC, refrigerator, etc. Dealing with the owner was smooth and effortless. Daphne was always there for me throughout the entire experience. Good times had by the family!

We had a wonderful trip with this beautiful motorhome! Daphne was great and helped us along the way learning how to do it all!. The motorhome was nice and comfortable, it even has necessities already included, an outdoor bbq, table and chairs and kitchen utensils. We took our young grandsons to the mountains and made memories!
