Feedback on RV Rental Experience – Reservation #7912774Dear Outdoorsy Team,Good morning. I would like to provide feedback regarding our recent RV rental experience with reservation #7912774, which began in Phoenix, Arizona. We have rented RVs with Outdoorsy several times and have never had any issues with the owners of the vehicles. However, this experience was quite different. Upon receiving the RV, we encountered the following issues:Flat Rear Tire: One of the rear tires was almost flat at the time of pickup. Mr. Stout initially told us that it just needed more air, but this was not the case. We had to get the tire fixed immediately since it represented a safety hazard, which delayed the start of our trip by nearly three hours.Main Access Door Window: The RV’s main access door had a window which was not the original size, making it difficult to keep the RV cool as the air conditioning was less effective.Awning Malfunction: The awning stopped functioning on the second day of our trip. We spent over two hours attempting to troubleshoot the issue before ultimately deciding to discontinue its use for the remainder of our trip. This impacted our plans, as we were unable to use it for shade.Air Conditioning Failure: After the second day, the air conditioning unit stopped working entirely, leaving us without cool air for the remaining three days. We resorted to sleeping with the windows open and using a fan.Non-Functional Coffee Machine: The coffee machine provided in the RV was not functional, so we purchased a new one for your future guests to use.In addition to addressing these issues, we kindly left a few new items in the RV for the convenience of the next renters, including brand new pillows, a fleece blanket, a cooler, and the coffee machine we purchased.Despite these setbacks, we chose not to raise formal complaints during the trip, as we understand that mechanical issues can arise unexpectedly. Furthermore, we agreed to return the RV one day earlier than planned to ensure Mr. Stout had ample time to address these matters before the next reservation on Saturday, October 5, 2024.However, we now find ourselves in an uncomfortable situation where Mr. Stout, the RV owner, is sending us pictures of minor scratches on the table, a very small bump on the fridge door, and is falsely accusing us of smoking in the RV, which we absolutely did not do. After all the inconveniences we experienced, we feel it is unfair that Mr. Stout is focusing on normal wear and tear in a rented RV in an attempt to seek compensation, while disregarding the significant problems we faced during our trip.We would also like to point out that Outdoorsy can check our history and qualifications from other rentals to confirm that we have never encountered any issues with prior RV owners. We kindly request that you review this matter and provide your assistance in resolving this situation. We have the WhatsApp conversations, bills for the tire repair (which he paid for), and the call to the AC specialist. In Sedona Ranch RV Park we also went to ask for any tool that could help us to close the awning.Unfortunately, we have received a claim for repairs from an insurance company requesting my insurance information, which we totally are in disagreement to provide and pay for things we are not responsible for. If the RV owner is willing to move fwd. with the claim, we will proceed legally against him for safety negligence delivering the RV with knowledge of a flat tire and which could cause an accident.(All pictures were taken on the date and time of delivery with the owner of the RV presence).
