About the Canadian Van Lifers Between Sasha and Cody, there is enough "lifetime experience" to keep you listening to their stories past bedtime. Passionate, driven and hard-working. These two know how to live simply without being simple. They started living the Canadian Vanlife when they bought and camperized their own Mitsubishi Delica, living out of it for 6 months. They celebrated Canada's 150th anniversary, exploring Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho National parks. They climbed popular peaks in the Rockies and mastered the art of slab climbing on the coast of British Colombia. The goal was to never stop exploring and that's why they started Canadian Van Lifers.

I had a wonderful time with the Campervan and it was better than advertised. How they squeezed so much into a small van is amazingly clever and Cody even took me to get water, which I hadnt planned on.
My trip prior didnt go smoothly, but Cody was patient and was able to work around my timing issues.
They also kept me informed of the potential weather issues closing down roads in the Rockies.

Wow! My experience renting this van from Cody, as a solo woman, was exceptional. I picked up the van on Wednesday in Canmore. After a van training with Cody, he took me to a local spring to fill up the water reserve with fresh & clean spring water. Then I was on my way. I drove up to Jasper in Wednesday and camped out of the van in Snarring (a spot Cody had recommended and was awesome). I camped the next night at Icefield and in the morning the roads were covered in snow. I attempted to head south to Banff and once I got to Parker's Ridge there was multiple cars crashed at the bend and the road was impassable. I went back to Icefield and called Cody. He cared more about my safety than he did the van and helped me find a safe way up and around the mountains. While the van had all season tires, the conditions of the road and lots of inexperienced drivers without winter tires on the road led us to the conclusion a long drive around would be safer. The van handled well in the snow, just wasn't too sure about the sketchy pass where all the other cars were crashing. While this wasn't an ideal scenario, Cody's help was much appreciated. As a solo traveler, I felt like someone had my back. Cody let me return the van without vacuuming or doing a few dishes as he said I had put up with enough, which I really appreciated. He also offered me a place to stay if I ever come back to Canmore. Overall, Cody and his girlfriend Sasha have created an amazing experience with renting a van to explore the Rockies. It's got everything you could need. All I had to buy was some dry firewood, food and beverages. I couldn't recommend enough!

Cody and Sasha were great from the start, so helpful and friendly. The van enabled us to get to everywhere we wanted to go and was comfortable after long days hiking. It was kitted out with everything we needed and worked well for us. We were apprehensive about driving on the 'wrong side of the road' for the first time but we soon got used to it and appreciated the time Sasha took to give us a mini lesson. Like other reviews mention we also attracted some attention for the uniqueness of the van, so was a good talking point. Overall we loved the van and the Rockies...how can you not!

We rented out Cody and Sasha’s van for our honeymoon trip in the Canadian Rockies for a total of nine days. My wife and I had a wonderful time with the van. This was our first time ever doing something like this and I would highly recommend everyone to try this at least once in their life. Especially with how Cody and Sasha treated us, we not only felt comfortable during this trip, we also felt very prepared. Cody and Sasha made us feel as if the van was our own. They made it very clear that they would be available for any assistance and walked through the van with great detail.

We had a wonderful two weeks in the Canadian Rockies and Okanagan Valley. The car brought us anywhere we wanted to go, bad logging roads were no problem at all. The bed was very comfortable, and the car's interior is a very well thought through compromise between minimum outer size and maximum inner volume. Anything you want in a camp kitchen was there. Driver and passenger seat were comfortable as well,on long drives and on bad roads. Right hand drive was no issue at all.

Cody is awesome! Got to canmore after 26 hours of travel and the legend bought me coffee!!
The van is all you need, all amenities are included and the mattress is so comfy! The absolute best way to see Canada!!

Cody is a legend ! we came from Australia and he couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Nothing was a hassel for him, Brenda the car was a treat to drive and camp in and he even left a beer for my first camp hidden in the back. Everything I needed for camping was there. Comfy bed and a hassel free driving through the rockies, I CAN'T SPEAK HIGHLY OF THIS MAN, thank you , you made my reunion with my daughter a dream adventure we will remember forever, lots a love n luck to ya brother.

Our experience with Cody and Sasha could not have been any better. They were quick to reply and coordinate with our flight times, and took the time to make us feel comfortable with (and excited about) the van before we took off. You can tell from the moment you get there that they love sharing the experience of van life! Janis had everything we needed for a perfect trip to Jasper and Banff- we cooked almost all of our meals there, had plenty of storage, and she had lots of nice personal touches :) Thank you again Cody and Sasha for helping our time there be so memorable! Much gratitude for the work you're doing.

Absolute wonderful experience!!! Everything went smoothly with booking and Sasha and Cody were awesome to deal with! Our first rental through outdoorsy. Owners were very helpful and quick to respond and assist with our transportation. We took Janis around for our honeymoon and had the best time for just shy of two weeks. The van was equipped with everything and more that we needed! Very comfortable for sleeping and drives great. Would highly recommend to rent Janis from them a hundred times over!! The ONLY way to view the Canadian Rockies!!

Cody and the Van Lifers crew provided a great experience! The Dodge is exactly as advertised. They have provided all the necessities plus extras to make for an easy trip. We especially appreciated the spices, towels, storage space, park pass, and bear spray. Communication was prompt and easy. Would highly recommend renting from Cody, Sasha, and their crew!

We had so much fun with Janis! We cannot thank Cody and Sasha enough for letting us take this cool little van for a week to tour around the Canadian Rockies. The vibe that Cody brought to the beginning of our adventure helped set the tone for a fantastic week that gave us memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Everything in that van had a purpose and was thoughtfully placed, it truly is amazing how much you can fit into this small space. The orientation to the van was thorough and easy; and learning to drive on the right side was simpler than I imagined. While laying in bed we never felt closed in or like you didn't have space. Half the nights we were there we stayed at first-come first-served campgrounds, and the other half we just kind of winged it. Overall, I highly recommend taking Janis the van on your Banff adventures - we loved it so much we're thinking of buying a van and converting it! Thanks Cody and Sasha for such an awesome vacation!

My wife and I rented “Brenda” from Cody for a 5 day Banff and Jasper camping getaway. Cody was responsive and timely. Brenda was a reliable beast for our trip and we had a blast. Cody has thought out every item provided to make the trip easy and stress free. We had enough space, storage and comfort to make the van our little traveling home. The whole experience was absolutely perfect and allowed us to view and explore the stunning environment without breaking the bank! Thanks Cody for an unforgettable experience!!!

A great little van well equiped and presented. Great intro to the van bits and to driving on the right hand side of the road. We had it snow and it was cosy and great to have 4 wheel drive. Overall excellent

This van was perfect for my husband and I for a 2 week trip in the Canadian Rockies. It's beautifully outfitted and very comfortable. Cody and Sasha are great to work with. Professional and helpful. Great to have the Provincial Park Pass included. Bed is comfortable. We quickly adjusted to the right hand side drive. It was an amazing vacation and the van really added to the experience.

Our camping experience was truly exceptional and unique thanks to Cody and Sasha's retrofitted Delica sleeper van. The van provided us with all the necessary amenities (bed, kitchen, storage) while also granting us the freedom of not being tied down to a single campsite or hotel room. We had amazingly remarkable camping experiences outside of designated campgrounds that cannot be replicated.

Sasha and Cody were fantastic to rent from. Communication was good and they are extremely friendly. Cody picked my daughter and I up from the airport and drove us to their house, where the van was (only 2 seats in the van). He thoroughly explain the ins and outs of the van and drove around with me to make me feel comfortable driving with the steering wheel on the right side. I was apprehensive with the right sided driving, however, after a few hours, it was like second nature. To me, the Delica is the perfect size for a camper van. In addition, the Delica is adorable my daughter loved the aesthetic of all the Japanese features still in the van; anything to make a teenage girl happy is a plus to me. We received a ton of compliments on it, as well. The van was equipped with everything we needed and more. The bed was comfortable and this is coming from someone with a bad back. This truly made our trip a great experience and one we will never forget. I will be using Outdoorsy again in the future and if I'm ever in Alberta again, I will be renting from Sasha and Cody.
