2021 Happier Camper HC1
Fully equipped ultralight weight towable trailer for your camping enjoyment. The trailer has a modular living system with a full size bed, bunk beds for two kids, kitchenette and table. Pet friendly!Welcome back to another season! Our two big changes for 2024 are a price decrease (yay!). We can only do pickups/drop-offs in the early morning (typically at 8AM) or in the evening (after 7pm) unless arranged in advance. Just reach out to ask for alternative accommodations prior to booking, I promise we will do our best!Pickup/Dropoff
The camper lives at a commercial storage unit in Dedham and our preference is to drop the camper off at your house/driveway the night before if you live a reasonable distance away. If not, we have a lockbox on the camper, which will be prepared for your trip and you can pick it up and drop it off at the storage unit (you’ll get the combo the night before).For those who are new to towing, and/or would like an in-person pickup please reach out prior to booking so we can make sure schedules align!The trailer itself can be towed by almost any vehicle with a hitch (1100lbs base weight). When power is available, the unit has an AC and small heater. Two awnings, and a breakfast bar/table attachment make outdoor living fun and styling. The rear door opens up so you can enjoy the outdoor air during the day. Windows have screens and shades.Equipment
We provide just the standard equipment with the trailer which includes the electrical, hose, basic tools and a pop-up trash can and outdoor mats. The spark behind Boston Camps came after meeting up with some friends at the park. It was towards the end of the summer and we were recounting our summer adventures. After mentioning our various camping trips we heard a familiar refrain… “We should do that, but I haven’t camped in ages”. We will be creating and posting content to to help families navigate camping in New England. Feel free to checkout our listings, we've attempted to translate our experiences into a great, rentable and preconfigured towable trailer. Happy camping!

Another great weekend with Happy One! We love this little trailer. Love that James provides everything for a camp kitchen set up - just bring your own food and beverages.
The modular interior is also such a great feature - play around with different layouts to maximize you usage!!

Very happy campers! We loved our weekend "glamping" in HappyOne! James provided everything we needed to set up the site including chairs, outdoor rugs, lights, and a cooking kit. We brought linens, clothes, food, games and our dog.

We had the BEST time camping with the Happier Camper. James was amazing and so helpful to us every step of the way. The camper had everything we needed to make our trip fun safe and exciting. We will do this again.

We had a blast renting the Happy One for our road trip from Boston to Niagara Falls and the Finger Lakes regions of NY. James was more than flexible with pickup and dropoff times, and the rig was great. We are seasoned tent campers, but with two younger kids and a number of stops along the way, the convenience and comfort the camper provided were a welcome change of pace. We were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the mattresses were. We all slept well throughout the trip, a huge plus when you're outdoors for 10 days! The large windows and fan -- plus the ability to open the back hatch -- kept us cool despite the heat wave that hit NY on our trip. We appreciated the little touches James included, too, like extra marshmallow sticks, outdoor carpets, and fun lanterns.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
We provide a 50ft 30amp rated extension cord with a special connector to hookup to the RV. There is both a 30amp connector and a 15amp converter available as well to connect to power.
There is no bathroom.
[Indoor kitchen] Water can be connected to the kitchenette if you've chosen that optional features via a 50ft hose with filter. Kitchenette has a 5 gallon tank which can be filled manually as well. Drains externally to a bucket.
Q.What is included with the base camper?
A.
The camper comes with the bed, bunk beds, storage cubes, 2-top table for inside, (2) 1-top table (1-) outdoor base for table.
One of the cubes doubles as a cooler (very insulated).
We include a 50ft 30amp electrical cable with 15amp adapter (for standard outlets). LED lights are available when on shore power.
[New 2023] We include an area carpet for the side of the camper, and a rear mat for behind the door.
Q.Can I use this for driveway camping (guest room)
A.
You are free to use this for driveway camping or as an extra room! We are happy to drop-off locally (about 20 minutes from Boston area (e.g. Boston, Brookline, Newton, Cambridge).
If you are going to tow it yourself please make sure you have all the necessary equipment.
Q.Can I use this for events / weddings / photos
A.
Of course! Please reach out with details, especially on timing for pickup / drop-off. Please expect a 300 to 400 minimum quote for single-day rentals as we blend the cost of our time to prepare / clean trailer into longer rentals.
