Honda CR-V with all wheel drive and comes with a tent! Great way to get around the island and have a car to play and explore! This car comes with AC, roof racks, optional surfboard rental and optional tent. You can cruise around in style and get over some of the Haiku Dirt roads. You will like this comfortable and safe ride around town. If you need AWD or all wheel drive this car can handle slick or slightly muddy roads (no off roading!) Please return clean and cared for. Please lock the front door with the key as it sometimes doesn’t lock with the remote. Thanks for checking out this awesome cheap Maui rental car.Aloha Thanks for your interest in our car!
*Please Read these three terms and Message ME that you read this if you request to book,
I don't accept bookings until I confirm that the renter has read the terms, thanks so very much for reading!1)*Delivery available to Kahului Airport.
This car is parked in Haiku. You can take an Uber/Lyft or public bus shuttle. Also airport shuttles are available. We have one called Speedy Shuttle.2)*Vehicle is not to be operated on these two very bad bumpy roads. We prohibit this for your safety and for the cars health and this is standard with all local rental car companies:
I would advise this to you even if you were not renting my car, these roads are terrible!!
Highway 31 on the back side of Hana from Kipahulu to Ulupalakua (unpaved road).
You can drive to Hana but you should go back on the Hana highway the same way that you came in.
The same goes about the road that goes around the West Maui mountains past Lahaina 30/340. You're allowed to drive past Honolua Bay to Nakalele blowhole but you should turn around before the road gets bad.3)* Please return this car washed, vacuumed and full of gas ready for the next renter. This helps us continue to stay in business by keeping our expenses low. Thanks so much! Also, a couple reminders:
*Please do any smoking and eating outside of the car and please leave the windows up when parked. We are in the tropics and we would like to keep out insect friends outside of the car!*Please try to knock off any sand outside of the car, off your feet and off your beach equipment. It is super hard to clean!*And remember to lock the car and take your valuables with you, especially in remote areas.Bluetooth A/C, Cruise control, tinted windows and Power everything!
Excellent 40 MPG. Money saver for Maui expensive gas prices! Thanks for reading this far and thanks for your interest in our car rentals!
We try to provide, newer, nicer well maintained cars with great MPG for a comfortable time on MauiCars, there is something more to getting around Maui than a car. You definitely need a car to get to beaches, see waterfalls and make it to your luau reservation. Booking through here you are supporting local. Most of the money that people spend in Hawaii goes out of state and doesn’t help locals.
You are starting your trip on a good foot by booking here.I’ve included a binder with some information about Maui and attractions and ways to protect the island.Ocean Safety:
Did you know that the coral reef is a living animal? Stepping on the reef harms this delicate creature.Stream Safety:
Flash floods can cause a calm stream to rise to life threatening levels within a minute. Look at the weather and if it has been raining uphill from where you are hiking use caution. Rocks are slippery and some waterfalls have rock fall danger too. That being said there are beautiful places to refresh yourself in the cool waters and get a view of a waterfall.Hiking:
Make sure you are on a public trail when exploring waterfalls and streams. Get local knowledge or a guide to learn about the area. The local Sierra Club chapter leads hikes for a small donation. There are many areas that are private property and have shown up in guide books and on Instagram much to the dismay of the landowners and locals.Driving etiquette:
Driving on Maui can be laid back and it is a small island and most of the roads you cannot travel over 45miles per hour. That being said the road to Hana has some seasoned local drivers that know the roads so well that they tend to go faster than most tourists. If you have someone behind you or looking like they are trying to pass. Just find a safe wide shoulder to pull over onto and let them go by. They’ll most likely throw a Shaka if you do this early.Be very careful driving the road to Hana as it can be dangerous, curvy and narrow. Please follow yield signs and allow others to pass.Haleakala Sunrise:
You will need reservations for a parking spot to see the sunrise on top of Haleakalā. There is a park entrance fee and you can go to their website to book a spot. Do this in advance.Cosa è inclusoTent and roof racks.
