From start to finish Santiago was the perfect host. Great communication and local resource leading up to the trip...even during the trip he checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying the van. This van was one of my favorite vehicles I've ever driven and I didn't want to give it back. The restoration job and original engine were great. We lived in it for a week and Santiago had it stocked with everything you could need to live comfortably. Speaking of comfort...one of our concerns leading into it was the comfort of the bed, but it was plenty comfortable even for myself as a larger 6'1" guy. He even met us at the airport to pick it up upon departure which was incredibly convenient and added a few extra final hours to our trip. I can't recommend this van and host highly enough.

Fun ride, it is what I expected for the adventure. Was a little high prices looking back, for the time that I used the vehicle. But would totally do it again. Some suggestions to offer.. it was very WELL equipped, but as I was using to camp with fire, it could use some sort of chopping wood equipment i.e. small axe? Also a can-opener would have been useful. Thank you for the great experience!!

The rental was wonderful. Santiago made excellent recommendations and offered drop off and pickup. My advice if you're going to take this rental out on Oahu is to stick to the recommended camping locations, or heavily research the spot if you want to camp elsewhere. We tried camping in state parks with mixed success. The parks aren't super well maintained and in some cases the restrooms are closed at night and there are lots of random people accessing the parks at night. We stayed one night at Malaekahana beach and it was much better with a well maintained campground, security and a private campsite. It was also less expensive than the state parks. The camper was extremely nice and Santiago keeps it well-stocked with all of the essentials. It makes for a great home-away-from-home.

This camper was an excellent rental! Everything I hoped it would be. It was clean and well maintained when I picked it up, and Santiago went over all the ins and outs of operating it. It's fun to drive, and I got lots of compliments and shakas. Very well stocked for camping, I had all the gear I needed. I was able to get a couple of longboards in the van no problem. Santiago was very easy to work with, I had a small key mis-hap in Waikiki and he drove in to solve the problem. I was also able to arrange a ride to the airport with him after returning the camper. I'd certainly recommend renting this camper if you're exploring Oahu and want to cruise in style.
