Born and raised in New England, al began his working career in the United States Air Force where he served 20 plus years as an aircrew member on KC-135 aircraft. Al accumulated over 4000 hours of flight time to include over 500 hours of combat time in support of several theaters of conflict throughout the globe. Al also spent many hours as Flight, ground, and simulator instructor.
