Ruby is a beautiful 1990 Volkswagen Vanagon Adventurewagen Camper. This Vanagon was mechanically restored for a better driving and camping experience. It has an automatic transmission. We have installed a few new and exciting upgrades to Ruby, like a 12v A/C system for those warm nights, and a built-in Propane heater for those cool nights. We have installed a brand-new FAS (Foreign Auto Supply) 2.0L motor with cruise control for a more reliable and fun drive. It has a working sink, stove, brand new 65qt 12v/110v refrigerator. We have installed a 200-watt solar panel with a 280-ah Lifpo4 battery, with a live battery monitoring system. There is a 25-gallon water holding tank. There is a 30-gallon gray water holding tank. We have installed a new awning for those sunny days when hanging out outside. There is a large storage box on the back of Ruby, that turns into a cooking table. there is a 5lb propane tank attached to the side of the storage box.

What an awesome adventure we had with Ruby the vibrant Vanagon! Bruce was so helpful and thought of every last detail, was willing to take the time to make sure we were completely comfortable with the setup before we headed out. As we drove away, we scratched thing after thing off our "Must Pack" list, since Bruce already had it all included! Ruby had so much personality and performed perfectly. With her new engine, she drove like a dream, but had all the character of a funky vanagon, not to mention all the comforts that made camping a breeze. We took her to the Nantahala national forest and set her up next to a gorgeous river. We had everything we needed and more. In fact, we loved Ruby so much that we are now looking for one of our own! Thanks, Bruce, for an awesome and super fun family adventure!
