Butterball the Leisure Bus!

We had a wonderful 3-day glamping trip to Cultus Lake with Butterball! The bed is cozy, and it comes with everything you need — from cookware to all the little essentials. Great camper, smooth drive, cozy vibes — and it even has a hidden feature: turning travel buddies into couples 😚💖 Jeanette was amazing — so kind, flexible, and well-organized. We had the best two days with Butterball. Our time with her was short, but she was the best part! She was so adorable and had everything we could have needed and more. The bed was SO comfy. We got such good sleep! Not too hot or cold, and it was the beginning of August. We brought her to Vancouver Island and parked her at a campsite on the ocean, so we could open the doors and enjoy the sea breeze and view while lounging inside. We parked alongside our van life friends and even they were inspired by her for future touches on their van! Not only was Butterball the greatest, but Jeanette was equally as awesome. We got in so late Friday night (arrived around midnight to pickup), and Jeanette was so accommodating. She waited up for us and allowed us to complete the tour, test drive etc. right then (in the dark), so we could sleep in the van for the night and be ready to leave to make the ferry in the morning. She knows literally all there is to know about Butterball and will make sure you feel safe and prepared before heading out. You can tell that she cares about her guests experiences and wants to make sure you get the most out of your stay… as we did! Cruising around in Butterball for a weekend was simply one of our favourite adventures yet, all because of Jeanette and Butterball herself, and we hope to come back and adventure with her again in the future! Travelling with Butterball across Vancouver island was an amazing experience and a dream coming true. Her vintage and charming look made the experience extra special, and we will for sure miss her very much. We also very appreciated Jeanette’s kindness, organisation and responsiveness. Incredible! Definitely must drive gingerly but that is mentioned in the listing & butterball absolutely holds her own & THEN some! Amazing time.

We had a wonderful time cruising around in Butterball and taking her up the Sunshine Coast! She was nicely decorated and had all the amenities we could have needed! Jeanette was a great host, very responsive, thoughtful and helpful! We highly recommend renting Butterball and enjoying a bit of nostalgia in this cute 1970s van :)
