We knew this was an older vehicle but did not expect the lack of some basics. Such as no window screens. This made it very inconvenient for us when we camped in the mountains with mosquitoes and lower down where there were biting flies. Another inconvenience was the lack of any way to charge our phones while driving. There are no accessory charging ports. They were helpful to us but too inflexible on pick up and drop off times.

Richard’s vehicle has a particular charm and it was sad for us to say goodbye at trip’s end. She isn’t fast but she’s got power and she’ll get you where you need to be just fine! It was easy cruising up and down steep hills through the mountains of Vancouver Island. The vehicle is equipped with everything you need for camping and is surprisingly efficient on a tank of gas too! The host gave a thorough walkthrough and remained accessible after we hit the road. Richard is very kind and accommodating. The next time we need a motorhome in Vancouver, we will likely return to the Chic Getaway.

Richard seems to be a nice guy but at the end was not, the RV is having clearly mechanical issues that concern our safety, any light of the RV was working and specially driving at night was very unsafe, also the right back wheel sometimes is bumping a lot and making all the RV shake even the cover cap of the wheel spin off and Richard charge us for that which is not fare, also left front wheel is making sounds in the middle of the road, hot water never work even if we turn the gas on plus turn the switch on, however I will NOT recommend rent it, I would prefer spend a little more for a newer RV.

Rich is a great communicator. The RV is old but running great and very spacious that easily accommodates 2 adults and 2 youths. New fridge worked great. We completed about 1000km trip for 5 days. Vancouver - Joffrey Lake - Alice Lake - Victoria - Vancouver. Cheers!!

RV was spacious and easy to drive, and has been updated nicely on the inside. I am quite tall (6'4") and was able to stand in most places in the unit, as well as fit in the bed stretched out - which is certainly not possible in a lot of RV's and campers. Host was responsive and easy to work with as well, and pick up and drop off went smoothly.
