The Coastal Dunes RV Park is conveniently located across the Grover Beach Amtrak Station train tracks. Restrooms, hot showers, and laundromats are located throughout the park. Coastal Dunes RV Park Reservations
To make a reservation, go to their website, input your dates, click “Show Available Sites,” then “Reserve” to open the site, and then “Add to Order.” Two days previous to the arrival date, online reservations must be made. Both the Coastal Dunes and Oceano Campground offices are located at Coastal Dunes. Reservations can be made one day in advance or by calling 805-781-4900 or stopping by the campsite. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the phone line is open. Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday through Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The staff will assist you in making a reservation if the office is open. Suppose the office is closed, camp at an unoccupied place until the office reopens the following day. Depending on availability, you may need to relocate in the morning.

“We camped here for the first time in August 2019, and our travel trailer has over 20 years of RV camping experience. We’ve stayed in a variety of locations. We give this location 3.5 out of 5 stars. There are several places with complete hookups. There is a pool, as well as showers and washers and dryers. I’m not sure why there were so many negative complaints about the noise, traffic, and train? We assumed it would be a problem, however the train or road noise didn’t disturb us at all when we were inside our trailer. Yes, if you’re in a tent, this would be a problem. We got a fantastic additional site to park our trailer beside our vehicle in a dual-site. The cost per night was fairly reasonable, being the same as the State campsite but lacking in facilities. The restrooms should be improved, but we didn’t require them because we had our trailer. We would absolutely return here.
